The price increase is tied to the addition of a new “Luxe Package” which includes Supervised Full Self-Driving and along with access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.
Prices of the other Cybertruck models remain unchanged.The adjustment contrasts sharply with Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s initial pitch in 2019, when he suggested a starting price of around $40,000, as per Reuters.

Production challenges and recalls
Musk has previously said that Tesla has the capacity to manufacture more than 125,000 Cybertrucks annually, with scope to double the production to 250k units by 2025. However, he has also warned of a “difficult production ramp.”
The Cybertruck’s rollout has been marred by quality issues and recalls, which have weighed on demand.
In March, Tesla recalled around 46k Cybertrucks built between November 2023, when deliveries began, and February 27, 2025, as per Reuters.
