Tiger attacks Indian tourist posing for selfie in Thailand’s Tiger Temple: Watch dramatic footage

An Indian tourist was attacked by a tiger at Tiger Kingdom in Thailand’s Phuket. A disturbing video of the incident is circulating online, showing a tiger attacking the tourist who tried to take a selfie with the chained animal. In the now widely circulated 25-second clip, the man is seen kneeling beside the tiger, while a trainer is seen using a stick to instruct the big cat to sit down.The clip then shows the tiger suddenly attacking the tourist, who is heard screaming. The footage ends abruptly, with the camera capturing the chaos, sparking panic among viewers.
However, the identity of the tourist has not been revealed, nor when the incident exactly occurred is know.

This is one of those places where they keep tigers like pets and people can take selfies, feed them, etc.” The video of the tiger attack has gone viral, with more than three million views on X.

In the comment section, Shukla mentioned that the tourist survived “apparently with minor injuries”.Attention: The video below contains senitive content, viewer discretion is advised:

“Cats generally do not like being petted on the lower (back) body especially near butts. This man was petting the tiger continuously near above mentioned body area, which must have frustrated the tiger. Final straw was when the man cupped it for a photo,” another added.

“My immediate reaction to this video was a chilling realization: that could have been me! This chilling video exposes a dangerous trend: many Indian tourists are lured into risky photo-ops with tigers in Thailand, often due to relentless peer pressure,” read the third comment.

The viral video has stirred a debate online with many social media users raising concerns over animal rights and the risks for tourists at such places in Thailand.
