President Donald Trump convened his Cabinet at the White House on Tuesday morning, with reporters present. During the meeting, Trump reiterated his dissatisfaction with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the war in Ukraine and indicated that sanctions against him were under consideration.“I’m not happy with Putin, I can tell you that much right now, because he’s killing a lot of people,” Trump said. “We get a lot of bulls–t thrown at us by Putin. You want to know the truth. He is very nice all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless.”
Trump also highlighted recent policy developments, including the imposition of new tariffs and the passage of a tax and immigration bill. “We’ve had tremendous three weeks. We have tariffs going out. Big money starting to come in by August 1,” he said.
The President announced that all BRICS nations, including India, would face a 10% tariff, claiming that the group was established to harm the United States and the dollar.Scott Bessent stated during the meeting, “We will take in approximately 300 billion dollars in tariffs this year.”
