“Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again,” Trump stated.
The statement also served as an “official notice of dismissal” for the four individuals, while Trump hinted that this was just the beginning of a larger shake-up in the federal administration.
“Let this serve as Official Notice of Dismissal for these 4 individuals, with many more, coming soon: Jose Andres from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars, and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President’s Export Council—YOU’RE FIRED!” Trump added.

Trump also signed an executive order aimed at holding former government officials accountable for the unlawful disclosure of sensitive information. Additionally, he halted 78 executive orders issued by the Biden administration.
Trump was sworn in as US President for his second term on January 20, 2025.
In his inaugural address delivered inside the Capitol Rotunda, Trump opened with a call for unity, proclaiming, “National unity is now returning to America, and confidence and pride are soaring like never before.” Declaring January 20, 2025, as “Liberation Day” for American citizens, Trump criticised the previous administration for its handling of both domestic and international crises.
“We now have a government that cannot manage even a simple crisis at home while stumbling into catastrophic events abroad,” he remarked.
Unlike traditional outdoor inaugurations, Trump’s speech was delivered indoors to an audience of 600 select guests, including members of Congress, business leaders, and family members. Explaining the decision, Trump quipped, “We were freezing. You would have been very unhappy.”
Trump portrayed himself as both a peacemaker and a strong leader, promising to end conflicts while pursuing bold initiatives like reclaiming the Panama Canal and territorial expansion. “Our golden age has just begun,” he declared, setting ambitious expectations for his presidency.
