Second Lady Usha Vance, the first Indian American to hold this role, will participate in a fireside chat, highlighting the strong ties between the US and India.
The event will also include talks with India’s Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Senator Steve Daines (R-MT), Representative Rich McCormick (R-GA-07), co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans, and USISPF Board members.USISPF will award the 2025 Global Leadership Awards to three business leaders for their work in strengthening the US-India-Japan economic partnership: Arvind Krishna, Chairman, President, and CEO of IBM; Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group; and Toshiaki Higashihara, Executive Chairman of Hitachi, Ltd.
Krishna has led IBM’s advancements in AI, cloud, quantum computing, and blockchain, with India as a key part of its global research and talent network. Birla’s Aditya Birla Group has invested over $15 billion in the US, making it the largest Indian greenfield investor there.
Higashihara’s Hitachi has grown its investments in infrastructure, mobility, and digital innovation, supporting US-India-Japan cooperation in energy, transportation, and technology. This is the first time QUAD business leaders will be honoured at the USISPF summit.
John Chambers, USISPF Chairman and CEO of JC2 Ventures, in a statement, said the summit gathers policymakers, business leaders, and experts to advance US-India relations.
Mukesh Aghi, USISPF President and CEO, added that the US, India, and Japan, with a combined economic strength of over $35 trillion, are committed to improving supply chains and supporting a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific region.
