Utkarsh SFB Q1 deposits up 18% YoY; loan portfolio, CASA shrink sequentially

Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Ltd on Saturday reported an 18.3% year-on-year (YoY) rise in total deposits for the quarter ended June 2025, which stood at ₹21,489 crore. However, on a sequential basis, deposits dipped 0.4%.The bank’s gross loan portfolio grew 2.3% YoY to ₹19,224 crore but contracted 2.2% compared to the previous quarter. This included a sharp 23.1% YoY fall in Joint Liability Group (JLG) loans to ₹8,578 crore, while the non-JLG loan portfolio surged 39.4% YoY to ₹10,647 crore.
CASA (Current and Savings Account) deposits rose 22.1% YoY to ₹4,218 crore, but fell 10.2% sequentially. The CASA ratio stood at 19.6%, down from 21.8% in Q4FY25.
Retail term deposits climbed 33.7% YoY and 9.8% QoQ to ₹11,675 crore, while bulk term deposits declined 6.4% YoY and 10.2% QoQ.Also read: Dhanlaxmi Bank Q1 business up 16% YoY; gold loan portfolio grows 28%

The bank reported a strong liquidity profile, with a Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) of 238% as on 30 June 2025. Collection efficiency in its micro banking portfolio stood at 98.7%, excluding pre-payments.

These provisional figures are subject to audit review and board approval.

Ahead of the announcement, shares of Utkarsh Small Finance Bank closed marginally lower at ₹24.10 on the BSE on Friday, down 0.21%.
