An engine of a Delta Air Lines plane caught fire shortly after takeoff on Friday, July 18. No injuries were reported as the flight (DL446) made a safe emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

While an investigation is underway, Flightradar24 data shows that the aircraft was crossing the Pacific Ocean before circling back over the Downey and Paramount areas and the plane maintained stable altitude and speed throughout the flight.
