King Charles was confronted by a protester on Monday, October 27, during a public walkabout outside Lichfield Cathedral near Birmingham, who shouted questions about Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The protester could be heard yelling, “How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein?” as the King greeted well-wishers. Another remark followed, questioning whether MPs should be allowed to debate the royals in Parliament and if police had covered up for Andrew.
A video shared by the Associated Press (AP) on X showed the moment the man shouted questions at the King during his visit to Lichfield Cathedral.

The heckling comes amid renewed scrutiny of the Duke of York, who recently said he would relinquish his royal title. The attention intensified after the release of a posthumous memoir by Virginia Giuffre, who accused Andrew of sexually abusing her as a teenager, Reuters reported.
Andrew, 65, has consistently denied the allegations. According to Reuters, in 2022, he reached an undisclosed settlement with Giuffre, who died by suicide in April.
Meanwhile, British police are reviewing reports that Andrew allegedly asked an officer in 2011 to find damaging information about Giuffre.
Unfazed by the outburst, King Charles continued interacting with other members of the public before leaving the area.
