Welspun Living Q1 Results | Net profit plunges 52% to ₹89 crore, revenue down 11%

Home textiles manufacturer, Welspun Living Ltd, on Wednesday (July 30), reported a 52% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at ₹89.3 crore for the first quarter that ended June 30, 2025. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Welspun Living posted a net profit of ₹186 crore.The company’s revenue from operations fell 11% to ₹2,261 crore as against ₹2,536 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
At the operating level, EBITDA tanked 34% to ₹226 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal over ₹341 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA margin stood at 10% in the reporting quarter as compared to 13.45% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

The company’s home textile exports business declined 11.8% year-on-year, recording an EBITDA margin of 12.6%. The advance textile business also saw a year-on-year decline of 11.6%.In contrast, the domestic consumer business grew 9.5% year-on-year, driven by a 2.5% year-on-year increase in domestic home textile and a robust 26% year-on-year growth in domestic flooring.

The overall flooring business reported revenue of ₹193.5 crore, with an EBITDA of ₹16.2 crore at a margin of 8.4%. Net debt stood at ₹1,401 crore, down from ₹1,562 crore as of June 2024.

Shares of Welspun Living Ltd ended at ₹131.40, down by ₹4.70 or 3.45% on the BSE.
