Shashi Tharoor’s firm response
Responding to Ishaan’s question, Shashi Tharoor defended India’s position. He replied that no nation doubted India and did not ask for evidence. He also highlighted Pakistan’s long-standing record of both conducting and denying involvement in terrorist activities.
The Congress MP elaborated that India has witnessed a 37-year pattern of terror attacks originating from Pakistan, followed by repeated denials.
He referenced Osama Bin Laden being found living in a safe house in Abbottabad, right next to a military camp, while Pakistan claimed not to know. He also cited the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, saying Pakistan had denied any involvement until compelling evidence surfaced.
