Zerodha Fund House launches BSE SENSEX Index Fund

Zerodha Fund House has launched a new scheme, the Zerodha BSE SENSEX Index Fund, an open-ended fund designed to track the BSE SENSEX Index. The fund’s New Fund Offer (NFO) opens on October 20 and closes on November 3, with unit allotment scheduled for November 6.The fund will reopen for ongoing subscriptions from November 10.The Zerodha BSE SENSEX Index Fund will primarily invest in equities and equity-related securities in line with the composition of the BSE SENSEX Index, subject to tracking errors.

The SENSEX Index comprises 30 of India’s largest and financially robust companies listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange.“As the first stock market index in India, the BSE SENSEX reflects the performance of leading companies across key sectors. This index has witnessed several pivotal moments — from the dawn of the internet and the mobile phone revolution to the 2008 global financial crisis and the rise of India’s digital economy. With this fund, we offer investors a straightforward way to invest in India’s leading companies and build a diversified portfolio,” said Vishal Jain, CEO, Zerodha Fund House.Investors can apply for the NFO through major mutual fund platforms.Zerodha Fund House is a joint venture between Zerodha Broking and Smallcase Technologies, with Zerodha AMC serving as its asset management company. The fund house aims to provide investors access to the capital markets with a focus on simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and transparency.
