Zota Health Care Ltd has announced that its board has approved a proposal to raise up to ₹500 crore in one or more tranches through the issuance of equity shares, convertible securities, or other equity-linked instruments.
The fundraising may be carried out via a qualified institutional placement (QIP) or other permissible modes, subject to approvals from shareholders, regulators, and statutory bodies, as per a press release.
The capital infusion will support the company’s growth strategy and expansion plans.
MS Dhoni roped in as brand ambassador
In a parallel development, Zota Health Care recently said it has roped in cricketing legend MS Dhoni as brand ambassador for its flagship brand, Davaindia.
The company said Dhoni’s association will reinforce the brand’s credibility and deepens its connect with consumers, as Davaindia continues to push affordable and high-quality healthcare solutions across India.
Chairman Ketankumar Zota said Dhoni embodies trust, discipline, and dependability — values that align with the company’s mission. “With Mr Dhoni representing Davaindia, we are confident of strengthening our brand presence and accelerating our journey of growth across the country,” he added.
Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Surat, Zota Health Care is engaged in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, ayurvedic products, and OTC segments, operating through marketing, exports, and its retail pharmacy chain.
