Adani Energy Solutions reported a net profit during the April-June quarter on Thursday, July 24. The stock saw a brief recovery after the results were announced, but that recovery was sold into.The company reported a net profit of ₹512.5 crore during the June quarter, compared to a net loss of ₹824 crore during the same quarter last year. While the base quarter had an exceptional loss of ₹1,506 crore, this quarter has had no one-off in the numbers.
Revenue for the period increased by 27% on a year-on-year basis to ₹6,819.3 crore from ₹5,378.5 last year.
Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter increased by 3.1% on a year-on-year basis to ₹2,315 crore.EBITDA margin for the quarter narrowed to 34% from 42% last year.
