To commemorate the occasion, CEO Tim Cook shared a company-wide memo, invoking the philosophy of co-founder Steve Jobs. Quoting Jobs, Cook highlighted the belief that individuals have the power to reshape the world through creativity and innovation — a principle that has guided Apple since its founding in 1976.

“When you grow up, you tend to be told that the world is the way it is,” Jobs said. “But life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: everything around you that you call life was made by people who were no smarter than you. You can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.”

His message paid tribute to Apple’s origins in a California garage in 1976 and thanked the millions of employees, developers and customers who have shaped the company into a global titan with over 2.5 billion active devices.

“Whether you joined this year or have been here for decades, I hope you take a moment to reflect on how much your work means. Thank you. Thank you for pushing yourselves further than you thought you could go. Thank you for believing in our mission and holding fast to our values. Thank you for dedicating yourselves to something far bigger than any one of us,” he added.
