BHEL shares gain after bagging order worth up to ₹1,500 crore from Hindalco

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) has secured an order worth ₹1,200-1,500 crore from Hindalco Industries for the Aditya Expansion Project Phase II in Odisha.The order is for the design, engineering, supply, installation, commissioning, and performance acceptance testing (PAT) of a 2 × 150 MW BTG (Boiler Turbine Generator) package at Aditya Aluminium, Hindalco’s facility located in Lapanga, Sambalpur district, Odisha.

BHEL has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the project.
As per the contract terms, Unit 1 is scheduled to be commissioned within 35 months, while Unit 2 will be commissioned within 37 months from the effective date of the contract, which will be the date of issuance of the LoI.Following the announcement, BHEL shares were trading 0.95% higher at ₹270.60 on Wednesday.
