BSE is losing share in a shrinking market for derivatives

Indian equity derivatives trading volumes slumped sharply in February 2026, even before the implementation of higher Securities Transaction Tax (STT) rates and tighter broker funding norms proposed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
