Centrum Capital Limited on Tuesday (July 15) announced that its board of directors has approved a proposal to raise funds amounting to ₹172.56 crore through a preferential issue of equity shares.The company will issue up to 5,01,91,537 equity shares of face value ₹1 each at a premium of ₹33.38 per share, resulting in an issue price of ₹34.38 per share. The proposed allotment will be made to 55 non-promoter investors, subject to shareholder approval.
“…we wish to inform you the Board of Directors of the company, at their Meeting held today, have approved the proposal for raising of funds through Issue of up to 5,01,91,537 Equity Shares of face value of ₹ 1 (Rupees One Rupee only) each at a premium of ₹ 33.38/- per equity share i.e. at an Issue Price of ₹ 34.38 per equity share, aggregating to ₹ 1,72,55,85,042.06, on a preferential basis,” according to a stock exchange filing.

Shares of Centrum Capital Ltd ended at ₹40.03, up by ₹1.90, or 4.98%, on the BSE.
