Amid the ongoing stalemate in the Persian Gulf, the price of CNG has increased by ₹1 from today (Sunday, May 17).This is the second price rise in as many days. However, it needs to be noted that prices in Delhi should have gone up by ₹11/scm (Standard Cubic Metre) due to the higher new well gas price, in addition to a reduction in the Administered Pricing Mechanism (APM) gas allocation to the City Gas Distribution (CGD).
Despite these factors, the government has only announced a ₹1/scm hike today.

As a result of this recent hike, the prices in Delhi per kilogram of CNG will cost ₹80.09. In Noida-Ghaziabad, a kilogram of CNG will cost ₹88.70. Earlier on 15th May, CNG prices were increased to ₹2/kilogram.
