Copper rises to ₹1,377 per kg in futures trade amid firm trend

Copper prices rose ₹11.95 to ₹1,377.75 per kilogram in futures trade on Tuesday, tracking firm trends in the international markets.On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the red metal futures for June delivery gained ₹11.95, or 0.87%, to ₹1,377.75 per kg in a business turnover of 17,708 lots.

Analysts said positive global cues supported sentiment.
Globally, Copper futures on the London Metal Exchange (LME) increased by $163.32, or 1.18%, to $13,981.50 per tonne.Comex red metal futures for the July contract rose 1.32% to $6.63 per pound in New York.
