Delhi Police issues traffic advisory ahead of AI Impact Summit and CBSE board exams

The Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the AI Impact Summit and the commencement of CBSE board examinations, announcing detailed traffic and facilitation measures in coordination with education authorities.The AI Impact Summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20. Meanwhile, the CBSE board examinations will begin on February 17, leading to an expected surge in vehicular movement across key stretches of the national capital.

Officials said police staff have been specifically instructed to facilitate the movement of students carrying admit cards or date sheets to help them reach venues on time.Special deployment and traffic regulation measures will be enforced in and around the summit venue and other high-security areas. Traffic teams will also monitor congestion points and implement real-time diversions, wherever necessary.Additional CP Devesh Kumar Mahla told the media, “The Delhi Police has a standard operating protocol to ensure the safety of the security industry. We have been rehearsing and conducting point-by-point briefings for a long time, taking into account the schedule and unscheduled movements. We have held enough rehearsals, including multi-agency rehearsals, at potential locations. We have more than 20,000 CAPFs and local police personnel here. We are also fully utilising technology.”The police have advised commuters to adhere to traffic advisories and plan their journeys in advance, particularly during peak hours.
