Dilip Buildcon bags ₹2,524 crore canal project in Chhattisgarh

Dilip Buildcon has emerged as the lowest (L-1) bidder for a ₹2,524.32 crore project awarded by the Water Resources Department, Government of Chhattisgarh.In an exchange filing on Tuesday, July 28, the infrastructure company said it has been declared the L-1 bidder for the construction of the Sikasar to Kodar Reservoir Link Canal (Pipeline) under the Pairy Project Scheme.

The project will be executed on a lump-sum basis and has a completion timeline of 30 months.

The scope of work includes the construction of the reservoir link canal pipeline, along with testing, trial runs, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of the entire system for five years after the completion of construction.The order, valued at ₹2,524.32 crore excluding GST, has been awarded by a domestic entity.

The company also clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group companies have any interest in the awarding entity, and the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.

Earlier this month, the company secured a ₹160.2 crore EPC contract from Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation to build a six-lane diversion road with service roads in Sundargarh district. The project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.

Shares of Dilip Buildcon rose to the day’s highs following the order win, but have pared most of the gains and were trading at ₹437.65 as of 12.01 pm on Tuesday, down 1.35%. The stock has declined nearly 8% in 2026, so far.
