Donald Trump’s inauguration will be moved indoors due to an extreme cold weather warning in Washington, DC.
“I have ordered the Inauguration Address, in addition to prayers and other speeches, to be delivered in the United States Capitol Rotunda, as was used by Ronald Reagan in 1985, also because of very cold weather. We will open Capital One Arena on Monday for LIVE viewing of this Historic event, and to host the Presidential Parade. I will join the crowd at Capital One, after my Swearing In,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Friday.
Trump’s second-in-command JD Vance will also take oath as the Vice President of the country.
The inauguration day events will include a formal swearing-in ceremony, musical performances, a celebratory parade and several formal balls.

January 19 (Sunday): The event will start with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Donald Trump will host a MAGA ‘Victory Rally’ at Capital One Arena at 3 pm EST in Washington, DC. Following the rally, the evening will conclude with a formal dinner.

The President-elect and his family begin the day with a private prayer session at St John’s Episcopal Church, which is located near the White House.
Trump will travel to the Capitol building for the swearing-in ceremony along with Vice President-elect JD Vance. Trump will officially be sworn in at 12 pm EST, which will be administered by Chief Justice John Roberts.
Following the oath, Trump will deliver his inaugural address, which is intended to lay out his vision for the country over the next four years.
