EAM S Jaishankar meets Singapore counterpart, set to leave for China to attend SCO meeting

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held a meeting with Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Bala on his visit to the Southeast Asian country on Sunday, July 13. After concluding his visit, Jaishankar with depart for China to attend an SCO meeting.Jaishankar said that Singapore remains a key focus for India in its Act East Policy.
“Singapore is at the heart of our Act East Policy. Always insightful to exchange views there,” Jaishankar wrote on X (formerly Twitter), while sharing snapshots of the meeting between the two ministers.

Later, the EAM also held a meeting with Temasek Holdings’ Chairman-designate Teo Chee Hean, where they discussed India’s transformation and investment opportunities in the country.

Jaishankar is scheduled to travel to China to participate in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (CFM) in Tianjin.

EAM will also hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the CFM, as per the Ministry of External Affairs.

He is expected to hold a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday (July 14), as per ANI.
