According to the newly released documents, Elon Musk, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Richard Branson were among those who have ties with Jeffrey Epstein.
The Department of Justice on Friday, January 30, released the largest batch of Jeffrey Epstein files, including three million documents, 1.8 lakh images and 2,000 videos. It contains mentions of various high-profile figures like Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. It is important to note that many individuals mentioned in these files have denied any involvement in or knowledge of Epstein’s illegal activities. Let’s take a look at what the files show about several of those men. (Image AP)

Donald Trump |The documents contain over 1,000 references to the US President, including a list of unverified assault allegations against him. The DOJ labelled the specific claims as ‘untrue and sensationalist,’ noting that the “claims are unfounded and false and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponised against President Trump already.” Meanwhile, the President has long denied any wrongdoing involving Epstein, including allegations of sexual assault. Elon Musk | It also contains email exchanges between Elon Musk and Jeffrey Epstein (from 2012 and 2013) discussing possible trips to Epstein’s Caribbean Island, although the documents do not confirm if these visits occurred. The tech billionaire has previously stated that he repeatedly declined Epstein’s invitations. In a post on X last year, he said, “Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED.” (Image Reuters)
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor | His name featured several hundred times, highlighting his long ties to Jeffrey Epstein despite his consistent denials of sexual assault allegations. The files include Epstein’s private emails detailing an invitation for Epstein to dine at Buckingham Palace, an offer to introduce the former prince to a young Russian woman, and controversial photos appearing to show him kneeling over an unidentified woman. These revelations follow King Charles III’s decision late last year to strip his brother of his royal titles, including the right to be called a prince and the Duke of York. (Image Reuters)
Richard Branson | The Virgin Group founder exchanged emails after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting sex. In a 2013 message, Branson invited Epstein to his private island. Branson also suggested that he should seek public endorsement from Bill Gates to improve his image. Virgin Group stated on Saturday that Branson’s contact was limited to business settings, occurred over a decade ago, and there was no wrongdoing on Branson’s part. Declining a charitable donation, Branson ceased communication upon learning of serious allegations, now condemning Epstein’s actions as ‘abhorrent’. (Image Reuters)
Bill Gates | In a 2013 email, Jeffrey Epstein recorded unverified allegations that Bill Gates contracted a sexually transmitted infection following extramarital encounters with Russian women. The documents further claim that Gates required antibiotics and allegedly attempted to ‘surreptitiously’ administer the medication to his then-wife, Melinda Gates. (Image Reuters)
