Fiat launches Topolino Corallo EV that can be driven without full licence: All you need to know

Date:

Fiat has recently launched the Topolino Corallo, introducing a new coral-red exterior and a larger digital instrument cluster for its electric quadricycle. In Europe, quadricycles are classified as L-category vehicles and do not require a full driving licence. In some countries, drivers as young as 14 are permitted to operate them. FIAT said the Topolino ranked first in the European quadricycle segment in 2025 with a 20% market share.

The Corallo shade joins the existing Verde Vita green, expanding the lineup to two colour options. Fiat described the paint as an “optimistic, sun-kissed tone that feels unmistakably Italian”.

The update also includes a redesigned digital instrument cluster. The display has been increased from 3.5 inches to 5.7 inches, housed within an 8.3-inch panel area, with simplified graphics and improved readability.Designed for urban mobility, the Topolino measures about 2.53–2.54 metres in length. It has a top speed of 45 km/h and a 5.4 kWh battery offering a range of up to 75 km. The 6 kW electric motor can reach top speed in about 10 seconds, while charging from a household outlet takes around four hours.

The quadricycle features asymmetric doors, a staggered two-seat layout due to its 1.40-metre width, and large glass surfaces. Its compact size allows access to Limited Traffic Zones and historic city centres across Europe.

The Corallo version is available to order on Fiat’s German website at a price of €9,990, about 100 euros more than the green variant. The model shares its platform with the Citroën Ami and Opel Rocks Electric and competes with vehicles including the Nissan Silence S04 and Microlino.
