Hamas handed over the first set of living Israeli hostages to the Red Cross on Monday, Oct 13 as per a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas to stop the war in Gaza.

Hamas handed over seven hostages to the Red Cross, reported Israeli media outlet Haaretz. They would soon be handed over to the Israeli Defence Forces and their family members.

People gathered in huge numbers to celebrate the historic deal.
