Here are the eight Pakistan air bases India attacked on May 10

The conflict between India and Pakistan continued to escalate on the night intervening May 9 and 10.The ministry of external affairs and ministry of defence, in a briefing on Sunday, May 10, morning said Pakistan’s actions are escalatory and provocative.

Pakistan deployed drones and fighter aircraft to target civilian areas and military areas. In response, India’s response has been measured and responsible

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, in the press briefing, confirmed the eight military bases in Pakistan that India targeted:1) Rafiqui: This Pakistan Air Force Base is located near Shorkot in Jhang District in Pakistan’s Punjab province. It is situated about 337 km south of Islamabad. It has a 10,000 feet runway and a parallel taxiway, which is emergency landing strip.

2) Students of Air Base: This is located near Chakwal district in Punjab. It is an operational flying base of the PAF, and is known for housing its unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) fleet.

3) Chaklala Air Base: It is known as the Nur Khan air force base. It is located in Rawalpindi, which is 10km away from Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad. The former Benazir Bhutto International Airport is situated in this active air base’s grounds. PAF College Chaklala and Fazaia Inter College Nur Khan are also located on the premises.

4) rahim yar Khan air base: This PAF military installation is located near the Rahim Yar Khan city in south Punjab in Pakistan. THe base is strategically located for rapid deployment and operations across eastern and southern Pakistan. It is said to be an important forward operating base that faces Rajasthan in India.

5) Sukkur air base: This PAF facility is located in Jamshoro district of Sindh, between Karachi and Hyderabad. It is also known as the Bholari air base. It falls under Pakistan’s Southern Air Command. It was inaugurated recently and houses the 19 Squadron as well as the Operational Conversion Unit, which operate the aircraft F-16A/B Block 15 ADF.

6) Chunian air base: This is among PA’s primary operational bases and is located in Punjab’s Chunian town, which is about 70km south of Lahore.

7) Radar site in Pasrur: Pasrur is a city in the Sialkot district in Punjab, Pakistan. India also targeted a radar site in Pasrur.

8) Sialkot aviation base: Sialkot in Punjab has two airports, an international one and a cantonment one. The international airport is the first airport in Pakistan that is privately-owned and operates both domestic and international flights. The cantonment airport is used for military aircraft.
