Hexaware Technologies launches advanced insurance solutions backed by Google Cloud, shares rise 3%

Date:

Shares of Hexaware Technologies Ltd gained over 3% in morning trade on Wednesday, November 12, after the company announced the launch of two new insurance solutions in collaboration with Google Cloud. In a filing to the stock exchanges, the company said that its advanced insurance solutions have been designed specifically for Google Cloud. The new solutions bolster the company’s partnership with Google and highlight their mutual commitment to driving digital transformation in the insurance sector with the help of automation, artificial intelligence, and scalable cloud-native architectures.

The global provider of IT solutions and services, Hexaware Technologies, has rolled out an advanced parametric claims solution that completely automates every stage of the insurance claims process.

Data from trusted and real-time sources, like IMD, NOAA, global satellite networks, and Google Earth Engine, are integrated by this platform to enable continuous environmental monitoring.
The platform has been built on the Agent-to-Agent Protocol, through which it leverages self-governing AI agents for handling trigger detection, data validation, and claims settlement. This framework cuts down the turnaround time from weeks to just hours, providing sharp efficiency.“These solutions build on our ongoing partnership with Google Cloud and are designed to help brokers, (re)insurers and MGA firms modernize two of the most critical parts of their value chain—claims and insurance product development—through automation and intelligence,” said President and Global Head of the Healthcare, Life Sciences and Insurance department of Hexaware, Shantanu Baruah, in a press release dated November 11.

Christina Lucas, Global Director and Market Leader, Insurance, at Google, said the partnership between the two companies marks a major step in bringing the Google Cloud’s data and AI capabilities to the insurance industry.

“We’re excited to commence this journey with the launch of the “Intelligent Product Factory (IPF)”, an “ParaClaims” for parametric claims solutions,” she added.

Shares of Hexaware Technologies jumped up to 3.25% to hit an intraday high of ₹685 per piece on the BSE. However, the stock pared some of its early gains to trade at ₹680.25, up 2.54%, at around 11:40 AM.
