HG Infra wins Jharkhand power transmission project with 35-year concession

HG Infra Engineeringon Wednesday said it has emerged as the successful bidder for an interstate power transmission project in Jharkhand awarded by REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL).

The project involves the implementation of the “WR-ER Inter Regional Network Expansion Scheme – Part C” through a tariff-based competitive bidding process, the company said in an exchange filing.
The transmission project will be executed under the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model with a concession period of 35 years.
HG Infra said the project carries annual transmission charges of ₹114.53 crore. The scheme is aimed at strengthening interstate power transmission connectivity between the western and eastern regions of the country.
Separately, the company had informed on May 26 that it had also been declared a qualified bidder by RECPDCL for a transmission infrastructure project in Uttar Pradesh.That project includes the construction of 220/132/33 kV air-insulated substations at Ranipur in Mau district and Chunar in Mirzapur district, along with associated transmission lines. The project will also be awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding route.

Shares of HG Infra Engineering ended 1.17% higher at ₹603.25 on the NSE on Wednesday.
