The directors general of military operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan concluded their latest round of talks, reaffirming the understanding to cease firing and military action along the border, sources told CNBC-TV18. The discussions focused on strengthening the existing agreement, with India firmly conveying that any violation of the understanding will be met with a strong response. The talks, part of ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions, did not include any discussion on the Indus Waters Treaty. While Pakistan expressed interest in raising the suspension of the treaty as part of the dialogue, sources said, the issue was not taken up.
Meanwhile, Operation Sindoor remains in full swing. The Indian Navy, Air Force, Army, and Border Security Force (BSF) continue to maintain a high level of alertness across all fronts. Indian forces will remain operationally deployed across land, air, and sea to respond to any potential threats.
Further DGMO-level discussions between the two sides are expected in the coming days as part of sustained efforts to uphold regional stability.Catch all the live action on India Pakistan ceasefire on CNBC-TV18.com’s blog
