The IPO became the most bid IPO of the country in history after receiving bids worth nearly ₹4.5 lakh crore, easily surpassing the ₹3.2 lakh crore previous bidding record held by Bajaj Housing Finance. Overall subscription for the issue stood at 54 times the total shares on offer. Subscription was led by the institutional investors, who bid for more than 160 times the total shares on offer. The non-institutional portion and the retail portion also saw healthy subscription. Current reports in the unlisted market are indicating a Grey Market Premium (GMP) of ₹430 for shares of LG Electronics India, which are priced at ₹1,140 apiece.
