Intellect Design Arena signs corporate banking transformation deal with UAE lender

Intellect Design Arena Ltd has entered into a strategic partnership with a leading Sharjah-based financial institution to modernise the lender’s corporate banking platform, according to an exchange filing on Thursday, July 23.The UAE-based bank will replace its legacy, product-centric systems with a unified, digital-first transaction banking platform aimed at strengthening its corporate banking offerings and supporting business growth across the region, the company said.

As part of the engagement, the bank will deploy Intellect’s end-to-end transaction banking suite, including Digital Onboarding, Cash Management (CBX), Virtual Account Management (VAM), Collections and Liquidity Management.
The platform is built on the company’s microservices-based eMACH.ai architecture.According to the filing, the implementation is expected to help the lender strengthen its liability franchise, streamline corporate banking operations and accelerate growth in its corporate portfolio.

The transformation is also intended to enhance the digital experience for corporate clients and support the UAE’s evolving business ecosystem.

“The partnership reflects a fundamental shift in how banks are reimagining corporate banking for the next decade,” Manish Maakan, Group Chief Revenue Officer and CEO – Wholesale Banking at Intellect Design Arena, said.

The company did not disclose the identity of the Sharjah-based financial institution or the financial terms of the agreement in the filing.

Last month, Intellect Design Arena announced the launch of an AI-native digital banking platform targeting challenger banks and digital-first lenders across the UK and Europe. The cloud-based platform is designed to help new banks launch and scale operations within 12 to 16 weeks.

The company had said the offering addresses key challenges faced by digital lenders, including customer acquisition, credit management, operational resilience and regulatory compliance, by integrating customer engagement, operations, risk, data and technology capabilities into a single AI-led platform.

Intellect Design Arena develops technology platforms for the banking, financial services and insurance sectors, serving financial institutions across global markets.

Shares of Intellect Design Arena were trading 0.2% lower at ₹736.70 on the NSE.
