Iran war may impact FY27 earnings growth by 3-4%: Sridhar Sivaram of Enam

Date:

Sridhar Sivaram, Investment Director at Enam Holdings, said the ongoing West Asia conflict could reduce expected market earnings growth by about 3–4 percentage points in FY27. He noted that disruptions in crude, LPG and LNG supply chains can have cascading effects across sectors including mining, plastics and refining. Sivaram said markets initially expected around 15% earnings growth, but prolonged disruptions could lower that outlook. While risks remain, he added that stock-specific opportunities continue in sectors such as pharma, manufacturing and power.
