“Any other approach will be completely inconclusive; nothing but one failure after another,” he added.

“Our armed forces are ready to deliver a well-deserved response to any aggression; mistaken strategy and mistaken decisions will always lead to mistaken results— the whole world has already figured this out,” Ghalibaf wrote in a post on X on May 11.

“We are prepared for all options; they will be surprised,” he added.

Iran has reportedly submitted a fresh 14-point proposal to the US during the latest rounds of backchannel negotiations.

US President Donald Trump denied accepting the plan stating that he was dissatisfied with the proposal as the terms were “unacceptable”.

Tensions in West Asia continue as the US continues to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, and the Iranian military also maintain the ownership of the strategic oil passage.
