Israel attacks Iran: Operation ‘Rising Lion’ will last as many days as it take, says Netanyanhu

Israel attacked Iran early Friday, with explosions booming across the country’s capital Tehran. In a video message released on X, Prime Minister Netanyahu said the operation, called ‘Rising Lion’, would continue as many days as it takes remove the ‘Iran’s threat to Israel’s survival’.”In recent years, Iran has already enriched enough uranium for nine atom bombs. In recent months, Iran has taken steps to weaponise this enriched uranium. If not stopped on time, Iran could produce nuclear weapons in a short amount of time. It could be a year, it could a few months, less than a year,” Netanyahu said.

Israel has

declared a state of emergency in anticipation of retaliatory missile and drone strikes by Tehran.
The Board of Governors at the International Atomic Energy Agency for the first time in 20 years on Thursday censured Iran over it not working with its inspectors. Iran immediately announced it would establish a third enrichment site in the country and swap out some centrifuges for more advanced ones.”We have struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear programme. Earlier, an Israeli military official said that the Israeli Air Force targeted Iranian nuclear and military sites, without identifying them. The official spoke to journalists on condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing operation.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that  US was not involved in the strikes against Iran, along with a warning. “Let me be clear: Iran should not target U.S. interests or personnel,” he added in his statement.
