Chairman Anand Mahindra said the group’s purpose “to help build a nascent nation” remains relevant as India seeks technological self-reliance and a larger share of global manufacturing.
CEO Anish Shah pointed to the firm’s first advertisement, which called for “enterprising individuals of all communities,” as evidence of an early commitment to inclusivity and entrepreneurship.
The anniversary comes as India promotes itself as a global manufacturing hub, supported by infrastructure spending and policy incentives, but also facing global trade tensions and supply chain risks. Mahindra highlighted its continued focus on sustainability and social programmes including Nanhi Kali for girls’ education and Kaabil for women’s skilling.
