The battery also retains 13.8% more range in cold weather (19.4°F) compared to traditional lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, making it safer and more efficient in colder climates.

MG4 EV
The MG4 features a 70 kWh battery pack powering a 120 kW rear-wheel-drive motor. This setup may provide better driving dynamics than competitors like the BYD Dolphin, which uses front-wheel drive with 70-150 kW motors.
The MG4 is larger than the Dolphin, measuring 4,395 mm long, 1,842 mm wide, and with a 2,750 mm wheelbase, which improves interior space and cargo capacity.
The design of the MG4 is inspired by MG’s Cyberster, with a sculpted front and new colours called Qingbo Green and Donglai Purple. The car will also debut the MG×Oppo cockpit system, developed with Oppo.
This system integrates smartphone functions, enabling voice commands, gesture navigation, and app synchronisation for a more connected user experience.
Production has started at SAIC’s Nanjing plant. The MG4 will initially be available only in China.
