Motherson Sumi Wiring Q2: Festive season boost net profit by 9%, revenue up 19%

Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd. on Wednesday posted 9% year-on-year (YoY) growth in net profit to ₹165 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2025, driven by festive season sale. Net profit for the same quarter last year stood at ₹152 crore.

It reported ₹2,762 crore in revenue from operations, up 19% on a year-on-year basis and 10.8% on a sequential basis. Revenue in the same quarter last year stood at ₹2,326 crore while June quarter reported ₹2,494 crore.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 12% from last year to ₹280 crore. EBITA for the same quarter last year was ₹250 crore.

Vivek Chaand Sehgal, Chairman, Motherson Sumi Wiring India, said that the focus remains on delivering sustainable value to all stakeholders while maintaining strong financial discipline and debt-free status.

“We are proud to report robust performance during Q2 for MSWIL. Our ability to consistently outperform the industry is a testament to the trust our customers place in us and the dedication of our teams. The rampup of our Greenfield projects is underway and is aligned with the ICE and EV program ramp-up plans of our customers,” Sehgal said in a statement.

The Noida-based company sells wiring harness solutions to carmakers including Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors, among others.

The earnings report was announced on November 5 when the market is closed on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti holiday and any reaction to the Q2 earnings will be seen in the next trading session on Thursday, November 6.

Shares of Motherson Sumi Wiring India closed at 46.99 apiece the previous day, 1.39% below its opening price that day.
