In another video, country’s finance minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel was stripped of clothes and chased into a river by angry protesters during deadly anti-corruption protests

The Gen Z protesters burnt down Parliament, houses of several politicians and several buildings.

In another video, Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba was being dragged out of her house and assaulted.

Multiple reports said Rajyalaxmi Chitrakar, wife of Nepal’s former prime minister Jhalanath Khanal was allegedly burnt alive after protesters set their house on fire.

The student-led “Gen Z” protests in Nepal that began against a government ban on social media expanded into a larger campaign reflecting growing public criticism of the KP Sharma Oli dispensation and the country’s political elite over alleged corruption and apathy towards the common people.

Prime Minister Oli resigned in the face of violent protests for a second day, even as the ban on social media was lifted late on Monday night.
