The board of NMDC Ltd. on Monday, March 17, has declared its first interim dividend of ₹2.30 per equity share of face value of ₹1 each for the financial year 2024-25, it said in an exchange filing.Record date for the said interim dividend has been fixed on Friday, March 21.
A record date means shareholders who own shares of the company at that particular date will be eligible for the dividend payout.Shares of NMDC will trade ex-dividend on the day or a day before the record date.
When a company goes ex-dividend on a particular date, its stock does not carry the value of the next dividend payment. An ex-dividend date also dictates which shareholders are eligible to receive the dividend payment.
NMDC had earlier announced two bonus shares for every one existing equity share of the company.
Following the announcement, shares of NMDC Ltd. are trading nearly 2% higher on Monday at ₹65. The stock is down 1.5% so far in 2025.
