‘No other president…’: Donald Trump self-brags about Operation Epic Fury as US and Israel hit Iran

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday delivered a self-congratulatory speech while addressing House Republicans in Florida. He claimed he had achieved something “no other president could have done.”Referring to the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran, he boasted, “I have done something that no other president could have done. I don’t want to brag, but they have said this is a larger thing that no other president could do – the stuff I’m doing.”

As he said this, the audience cheered, and Trump continued to self-brag.
His remarks come in the middle of the US-Israel war on Iran, where they assassinated the country’s long-time Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.After the strike, some Iranian Americans publicly thanked Trump.

Now into its 10th day of war, the US and Israel have attacked Iran’s oil depots, hitting major fuel storage sites in Tehran. The strikes caused big explosions and fires. Some of the fuel leaked onto the streets and caught fire, making what residents called a ‘river of fire’.

While speaking to reporters in Miami, Trump said he expected the war with Iran to end ‘very soon’. He also warned that Iran would be hit “much, much harder” if it tried to block the country’s oil supply. Benchmark oil briefly went over $100 a barrel, which hasn’t happened since 2022.

Iran’s health ministry said on Monday that US-Israeli strikes had killed more than 1,200 people, including around 200 women and 200 children under the age of 12, with more than 10,000 civilians injured.
