Pace Digitek signs exclusive OEM pact with NEC XON for five African markets

Telecom passive infrastructure solutions provider Pace Digitek Ltd on Thursday (April 23) said it has entered into an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) exclusivity agreement with NEC XON Systems Proprietary Ltd to market, distribute and sell its products across select African markets.The agreement grants NEC XON exclusive rights for the company’s products, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and related energy solutions, across South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and Mauritius. The agreement was executed on April 22, 2026.

NEC XON is an international entity, and Pace Digitek does not hold any shareholding in the company. The agreement does not involve any related party transaction, and there is no relationship between NEC XON and the promoter or promoter group.

Last month, Pace Digitek Ltd said that it had received a letter of acceptance worth ₹494.54 crore, excluding taxes, from NTPC Ltd. for a battery energy storage project.The order covers engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work for a battery energy storage system (BESS) at NTPC’s Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Station, along with comprehensive maintenance over the system’s design life.

The contract also includes supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of equipment, as well as civil and structural works related to the project.

Pace Digitek said the supply and services portion of the contract will be executed within 15 months, while the maintenance component will run for 11 years.

Shares of Pace Digitek Ltd ended at ₹177.65, up by ₹3.40, or 1.95%, on the BSE.
