Pakistan drones spotted in Jammu, Pathankot; explosions heard amid blackout: Report

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, drones from Pakistan were sighted in the Jammu, Samba and Pathankot sectors on Friday, May 9, according to defence sources.Explosions were reported in Jammu on Friday evening after Indian air defence systems intercepted incoming drones. Defence sources also said explosions were heard in Poonch due to shelling from the Pakistani side.

A complete blackout was enforced in Udhampur in Jammu division, and sirens were heard in the area, sources added.This is the second consecutive day Pakistani drones have been used to target Indian territory, defence officials said.

Drones were also seen in multiple locations along the Line of Control. Reports indicated artillery fire by Pakistani forces across the LoC, with Indian forces responding to drone activity and cross-border shelling.
