PFC declares fourth interim dividend; to borrow ₹1.40 lakh crore in FY26

The board of Power Finance Corporation Ltd. has approved its fourth interim dividend of ₹3.5 per share on the face value of ₹10 each for the financial year 2024-25. The announcement was made ahead of market closing on Tuesday, March 12.The record date for the said dividend payout has been fixed as March 19, 2025.


The interim dividend will be paid to shareholder by April 11, 2025.
Further, the company plans to borrow up to 1,40,000 crore in the financial year 2025-26 excluding funds raised under extra budgetary resource.A record date means shareholders who own shares of the company at that particular date will be eligible for the dividend payout.

Shares of PFC will trade ex-dividend on the day or a day before the record date.

When a company goes ex-dividend on a particular date, its stock does not carry the value of the next dividend payment. An ex-dividend date also dictates which shareholders are eligible to receive the dividend payment.

Following the announcement, shares of Power Finance Corporation Ltd. are trading nearly 2% lower at 393.55. The stock is down 12% so far in 2025. PFC shares have corrected 32% from its recent highs of ₹580.
