The mandate involves serving as the official service provider for establishing and running district-level Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs) across 188 districts. These centres will provide enrolment, updates, and other Aadhaar-related services through both appointment-based and walk-in modes.
The contract will run for six years and is structured as an outsourcing delivery of the public service project.UIDAI, which manages India’s Aadhaar infrastructure, has been expanding access to its services through district-level centres to cater to growing demand for updates, corrections, and new enrolments, particularly in semi-urban and rural areas.

Shares of Protean eGov Technologies had tanked in May this year, after it had announced that it was out of the reckoning for the PAN 2.0 project from the Income Tax Department, an order that was eventually bagged by LTIMindtree.
Ahead of the announcement, shares of Protean eGov closed at ₹818.30, down 3.85% on the NSE.
