RVNL secures ₹242 crore order from South Central Railway

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from South Central Railway for a project valued at ₹242 crore. The contract involves the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of overhead equipment (OHE) upgrades. The project will upgrade the existing 1x25kV system to a 2x25kV AT feeding system, along with feeder and earthing works.The scope of work covers the Ongole (OGL) to Gudur (GDR) section under the Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway, spanning a total length of 154 RKM/462 TKM.

The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and falls within the normal course of business of the company.
As per the details disclosed, the project is to be executed within a period of 24 months.
The total cost of the contract stands at ₹242.49 crore, inclusive of applicable taxes.The company clarified that the order does not involve any related party transactions, and neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity.

This development strengthens RVNL’s order book and reinforces its presence in railway infrastructure projects, particularly in electrification and system upgrades.

RVNL shares closed lower on the NSE at ₹260.80, down ₹1.81 or 0.69%.
