The Nifty is now up nearly 2,500 points from the recent lows.Tuesday’s expiry was another trending one on the upside. The index has now crossed important levels of 24,300 and 24,500, and closed above those as well. The index to watch today, though, will be the Nifty IT after HCLTech’s disappointing results. Persistent Systems is another IT index stock that will react to results today.In case IT underperforms today, the bulls would look towards banks yet again, which have been leading this Nifty recovery, to offset any potential weakness. For the Nifty, sustaining above 24,600 is key to open up levels of 24,700, 24,854 and 24,989 on the upside.The bulls would now also look to defend 57,000 on the downside for the Nifty Bank as the index has now closed above that level for two sessions in a row.
