Auto component maker Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd (Sona Comstar) on Wednesday (April 30) reported a 10.3% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit at ₹164 crore for the fourth quarter that ended March 31, 2025. In Q4FY24, Sona BLW Precision Forgings had posted a net profit of ₹148.7 crore.Revenue from operations dipped 2.2% to ₹864.8 crore against ₹884 crore in the year-ago period. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.Sona BLW reported that battery electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for 35% of its revenue in Q4FY25, with BEV revenue rising 8% YoY to ₹294 crore. The company’s EV programmes now form 77% of its total order book, which stood at ₹24,200 crore as of March 31, 2025.For the full year FY25, the company posted a revenue of ₹3,555 crore, reflecting a 12% increase over FY24. EBITDA for FY25 came in at ₹975 crore, representing an 8% YoY growth. The margin for the full year stood at 27.4%. Profit after tax rose 16% to ₹601 crore, translating to a net profit margin of 16.9%.The results came after the close of the market hours.
