Sona BLW shares surge over 4% after NEURA Robotics MoU for advanced automation

Shares of Sona BLW Precision Forgings (Sona Comstar), a global mobility technology company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Germany-based NEURA Robotics GmbH to jointly develop advanced automation technologies and industrialise robots and humanoids in India and other markets. The stock has surged 4% in response to the announcement on Friday, October 10.The partnership, signed in Metzingen, Germany, marks Sona Comstar’s strategic foray beyond the automotive sector into intelligent automation. The companies will collaborate on developing advanced technologies, components and sub-assemblies to support the next generation of robotics solutions for manufacturing and service industries.

“With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and perception technologies, the world is entering a new era of intelligent automation,” Sona Comstar said in its announcement, adding that the collaboration will accelerate the adoption of robotics across industrial and human-centric applications.

Commenting on the partnership, Vivek Vikram Singh, Managing Director and Group CEO of Sona Comstar, said, “We are excited to partner with NEURA Robotics to drive the next wave of innovation in industrial and humanoid robotics. Founded in 2019, NEURA Robotics specialises in cognitive robotics — systems capable of seeing, hearing, and learning autonomously. Its “Neuraverse” platform aims to create a new standard in physical AI and human-robot collaboration.

Headquartered in Gurugram, Sona Comstar is a global supplier of automotive systems and components, with a presence in the electric vehicle segment. The company operates across India, the US, Serbia, Mexico, and China.
