Tamilnad Mercantile Bank opens 5 branches

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited is on an expansion spree. It has opened new branches in Velandipalayam, Kalapatti, Davanagere, Puthukkadai, and Nikol, as per an exchange filing. The lender also appointed Thiru S Balasubramanian, Deputy Vice President, as the data protection officer effective December 26, 2025.
Tamilnad Mercantile Bank had reported 11.47% year-on-year growth in its total business to ₹1,02,417 crore for the second quarter of the current financial year. Total business, which indicates overall operational size, grew from ₹91,875 crore in the same quarter last year and was up 3.53% from ₹98,923 crore in the June quarter this year.Tamilnad Mercantile Banks share closed at ₹ 504.15, on Friday, December 26, down 1.59%.
